Angie Parker’s passion for beauty and makeup began at an early age. Building upon her love of art and painting, she tailored her creative talents, blending applications from the canvas to the face. She incorporated similar styles and developed her love of colors, experimenting through the medium of skin and texture.
Following a successful art foundation course in Chester, England, Angie made the exciting move to London. Her creative portfolio in hand, she began an intensive degree at The London College of Fashion, where she studied theoretical and practical application covering all aspects of fashion and stage makeup.
After graduation, Angie began working in the music and fashion industry shooting videos, fashion stories and gaining experience with some of the most prestigious magazines in the business, such as i-D and Dazed & Confused. She was hired to assist a very established makeup artist, with whom she worked on many top runway shows in London, Paris and Milan.
Her burgeoning career eventually took her to the dizzying heights of New York City, where she immediately fell in love with everything the city had to offer and which she eventually decided to call home. Assisting celebrity artist Mary Greenwell for several years, she had the opportunity to work with hugely inspiring photographers such as Steven Meisel and Annie Leibowitz Soon after Angie embarked on her own freelance career and was immediately working with Patrick Demarchelier for several Bazaar shoots.
To date, Angie’s work has consistently embodied her inimitable style showcasing clean skin, through well-blended and, what Angie likes to term, ‘real’ makeup which is chic and beautiful. It is believable, using products which are mindful to the skin and our ecosystem. Angie’s work has been featured in a multitude of international and American publications such as i-D, Vogue, Dazed and Confused, Teen Vogue, Bazaar and Vanity Fair. She has been hired to participate in global-brand advertising campaigns for brands that include; Marc Jacobs, All Saints, Barneys, TseSay, SkinMedica, Victoria Secret, Esprit, H&M & Bergdorfs.
In recent years, Angie has developed and focused her skills to create content and build creative teams, delivering work about which she feels passionate. The continuous thread linking her past and present, which exists in everything she does, is always deeply rooted in color and diversity, not only in regards to skin tones and beauty, but also gender.
